The booming of AI-powered tools or the introduction of GPTs to the public has been revolutionary. For many, the usual work has become easier with the help of advancements in AI tech. While AI-powered technology has been in use for more than a couple of decades, the general audience still needs to associate or identify these technologies with the AI tech that has come out in the last few years.

We have been benefiting from the technology that is - automation, which is present in almost everything from our vehicles to kitchens and computers. Still, it was only when GPTs arrived in the market, that people started talking about AI as a topic for conversation or out of pure concern and curiosity. Some have even argued that, on the run, these advancements could endanger certain jobs or even worse — turn the machines against humanity making one of the most feared sci-fiction horrors, real. The argument for this notion has been on how it’s about riding the wave rather than going against it, hinting that the ones who will learn to identify and learn how to work and operate these tools will excel.

As an observer of this myriad of changes which have transformed and shaped how the internet and social media platforms have played their part in this great artificial intelligence race, I can’t help but be subjective. The risks are real and it all comes down to regulation and putting it to use for the betterment of our species as a whole. One should remember that a surgical knife can be used to save one’s life and at the same time could be a lethal weapon. This applies to the utilization of this razor-edge, fast-growing and most innovative technology that has ever existed — Artificial Intelligence.
